Library

Our library has a collection of about 5212 volumes and 1656 titles besides numerous video and audio cassettes on various subjects, It subscribes for 36 Indian journals, 36 Indian magazines and 18 International journals and magazines (Printed). 275 Online Journals (IEEE – 204 & ASME – 71) Its services are Reprographic services, Audio Visual Services, Automated Catalogue search, Internet access etc. The main objective of the Library is to enrich knowledge and satisfy the information needs of users.

RVS

Apart from the college library all departments have their own individual libraries in the department complex. We have membership with British council division, Anna university Chennai and IIT Chennai.

Lab

There is an archipelago of educational institutions comprising of a Dental College, Engineering and Polytechnic College, Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Siddha Medical College and Hospital, Teacher Training Institute, and College of Education at Kannampalayam campus situated a few kilometers from Sulur.

Internet

Internet connection is provided to all departments, computer labs and the library in the University. Broadband network speeds at 12Mbps and selective Wi-fi connectivity locations are present

Cafeteria

A fully air-conditioned canteen providing Indian and Continental food in a hygienic setting for both staff and students is available within the campus. The campus also has a Cyber caf� and fast food centre to meet the demands of the staff and the students. Visitors to the campus are also provided high quality food within the canteen and also at the Guest House.

Campus Buildings

Another area of the Trust’s fond activities has been the RVS Social Service Institutions. RVS working women’s hostels at Kannampalayam, Dindigul BMT working women’s hostel, korattur and RVS orphanage at Sulur are the evidences of the Trust’s bent of mind towards social service and women’s welfare.

Hostel

RVS College of Engineering and Technology is a residential institute and provides accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostels. Each hostel in the institute is an independent unit in respect to its internal administration under the overall supervision of the Council of Wardens and the Hostel Management. The hostel is administered by hostel manager appointed by the Principal and he/she is assisted by an deputy Warden in all matters relating to the hostel.

The Hostel Office is located within the hostel premises. The Office maintains all the files, registers, records, ledgers, account books, suppliers' bills, payment registers etc., pertaining to the hostel residents, mess and the employees. The Hostel Office is open on all weekdays.

Every student who has been admitted to the institute is required to pay the prescribed hostel seat rent and establishment charges along with a refundable hostel mess caution deposit. These charges are subject to revision from time to time. Allotment of rooms to the residents takes place at the end of each academic year. The rooms vacated by the outgoing students are made available by the Warden for other senior residents in the hostel to change their rooms, on request. The change in rooms is effected in accordance with the policy and with the Warden's approval.

Smoking and Consumption of alcoholic drinks and use of narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited.

Transport

RVS Aarupadai Veedu Cultural Trust gives vent to the Trust’s abundant love and piety for the heavenly Lords and spiritualism. The Kumaran Kottam on Coimbatore – Trichy highway at Kannampalayam houses a temple of Lord Muruga adorned with a 5 stairs, 6000 sq.ft. Rajagopuram. Recently a magnificent temple for Lord Venkateswara has been built, behind Kumaran Kottam and it is popularly known as Sulur Tirupathi.
